Different approaches.
One informed decision.

Your prescription is one part of the picture. A consultation also considers your eye health, age, anatomy, visual goals, and the limitations of each procedure.

An examination is essential. This website cannot determine candidacy or recommend a procedure.

Corneal vision correction

LASIK

LASIK reshapes the cornea, the clear front surface of the eye, to change how it focuses light. It may reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses in suitable eyes. A stable prescription, corneal measurements, and an assessment of eye health help guide candidacy.

Implantable lens option

EVO ICL

EVO ICL is a lens placed inside the eye to correct nearsightedness, with an option for astigmatism, while leaving the natural lens in place. It does not remove corneal tissue. Age, prescription, eye anatomy, and other measurements determine whether it is appropriate.

Lens-based vision correction

Refractive lens exchange

Refractive lens exchange replaces the natural lens with an artificial lens to address refractive goals, before a cataract is the main reason for surgery. Lens selection, the loss of natural focusing ability, and the risks of intraocular surgery need careful discussion.

Clear answers, before you arrive

A few things you may be wondering.

Which procedure is best?

There is no single best choice for everyone. Your clinician can discuss appropriate options after examining your eyes.

Will I definitely stop needing glasses?

No procedure can guarantee that. Your visual needs, healing, and future changes in your eyes can affect whether glasses or contacts are still useful.

How is lens exchange different from cataract surgery?

The basic lens-replacement approach is similar, but the reason for treatment differs. Cataract surgery removes a clouded lens; refractive lens exchange is considered primarily for refractive goals. Your surgeon will discuss whether a lens-based procedure is appropriate and its alternatives.

What risks should I ask about?

LASIK can cause dry eye, glare, halos, or other visual difficulties, including serious complications. EVO ICL and lens-replacement surgery have different risks, which may include infection, inflammation, pressure changes, retinal detachment, or vision loss. EVO ICL can also cause cataracts or loss of corneal endothelial cells. Ask your surgeon about your individual risks, healing, follow-up, and possible need for further treatment.

Will my eyes continue to change after vision correction?

Yes. Surgery does not prevent all future eye changes, including age-related changes in near vision. Glasses, monitoring, or additional care may still be needed. A future procedure is not automatically appropriate.

Can I compare costs or insurance coverage online?

Please contact the practice for current pricing, what is included, and any available payment options. Ask your insurer or plan administrator about benefits and any medical-spending-account eligibility.
